Game Pass has announced the new lineup of games coming to the monthly subscription package.
The new games making their way are Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, Creatures of Ava, and Mafia: Definitive Edition.
A lot of variety can be found in the August selection on show from Xbox Wire, including day-one exclusives, classic faces, and the games leaving the service in August.
Game Pass August lineup announced
Creatures of Ava is a day-one Game Pass exclusive from Inverge Studios. The action-adventure game puts you in the boots of an empathetic creature-saving character who is out to use that empathy to protect the inhabitants of the world.
A character that needs no introduction is Crash Bandicoot. He is coming to Game Pass as part of 2017’s N.Sane Trilogy of the platforming, box-breaking action across jungle worlds.
The collection compiles the games that began our love for the furry sneaker-wearing, would-be mascot. Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back and Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped are all coming to Game Pass on Aug. 8.
The period-piece underworld crime narrative, Mafia: Definitive Edition, hits Game Pass on August 13. It’s a detailed fictional take on the cosa nostra and a taxi driver’s climb to the top of the criminal food chain in 1930’s America.
Other Game Pass August announcements
There are a host of other notable mentions for gamers as we get ready for fall. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is a massive part of the subscription with new 6v6 maps, weapons, and cosmetic exclusives for Game Pass Members.
The console version of Valorant has also been included for Game Pass alongside the PC take on the sleek first-person shooter. Subscribers can link their Riot Games account to unlock a 20% XP boost for Battle Pass and Event content.
No Man’s Sky: Worlds Part I is now available and is entirely free to fans of the world-hopping exploration game. The update to the game (version 5.0) enhances the variety of the environments and brings a host of gameplay features.
Sea of Thieves: Season 13 is also on display and gives fans of the swashbuckling adventure game a chance to seize villain Flameheart’s flagship. The Burning Blade is the big boss fight and those lucky enough to best the pirate’s defenses gain control of the skeletal pirate crew and raid the coasts of the world in his name, or as a liberating force against his camps.
Games saying goodbye are:
- Airborne Kingdoms (Cloud, Console, and PC)
- Offworld Trading Company (PC)
- Shadow Warrior 3 (Cloud, Console, and PC)
- The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (Cloud, Console, and PC)
