Whoopi Goldberg reached what many would describe as a new low for her on Monday when she defended women’s groups that are staying silence on the sexual violence being perpetrated by Hamas in the Israel-Hamas war.

Alyssa Farah Griffin Sounds Off

“I am still devastated — we’re two months since this war has been underway — by silence from women’s groups in this country about rape being used as an act of war in this attack,” Griffin began, going on to bring up a recent video posted by Sheryl Sandberg, who wrote an op-ed for CNN that described the “silence” on Hamas’ sexual violence as being “deafening.”

During Monday’s episode of the ABC talk show “The View,” co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin called out women’s groups that are not condemning Hamas for its brutal sexual violence amidst this conflict.

“The fact that sexual violence was used against Israeli women, and the major women’s groups in this country have not come out and denounced it,” explained Griffin, who previously worked in Donald Trump’s administration. “This weekend, Sheryl Sandberg put out a gripping video calling for it.”

“That violates every rule of warfare,” she continued. “It is the height of immorality and the fact that the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and Women Empowerment has been silent, the U.N. Committee on Elimination of Discrimination Against Women has been silent, and the international MeToo movement has been silent.”

Goldberg, who has long been known for her radically liberal views, was not having any of it, however.

“Perhaps the reason they’ve been silent is for the same reason that you just described,” Goldberg said. “Well, they don’t want to exacerbate it.”

“Listen, I know that this is really hard for people to sit still with,” she added. “So, right now, we’re glad people are coming out, and that’s what we’re going to keep talking about because we want to encourage — you know, the bottom line truly is this: You don’t have a choice, you have to end this because at some point, it’s going to dawn on everybody there that no one’s leaving. No one’s leaving the land so the question has to become, how do we live together on this land? That is all that people should be thinking about so that this does not continue to happen.”

This comes one year after Goldberg was suspended from “The View” for saying that the Holocaust was “not about race.”

“Let’s be truthful about it because Holocaust isn’t about race,” Goldberg said early in 2022, according to The Hollywood Reporter. “It’s not about race. It’s not about race. It’s about man’s inhumanity to man.”

When her co-host Ana Navarrao tried to argue that it was “about white supremacists going after Jews,” Goldberg proceeded to double down.

“But these are two white groups of people!” Goldberg said. “The minute you turn it into race it goes down this alley. Let’s talk about it for what it is. It’s how people treat each other. It doesn’t matter if you’re Black or white, Jews, it’s each other.”

Though Goldberg issued a groveling apology after her suspension, she doubled down once again months later when a reporter pointed out to her that the “Nazis saw Jews as a race.”

“Yes, but that’s the killer, isn’t it?” Goldberg said in response, according to NBC News. “The oppressor is telling you what you are. Why are you believing them? They’re Nazis. Why believe what they’re saying?

“It wasn’t originally” about race, Goldberg continued. “Remember who they were killing first. They were not killing racial; they were killing physical. They were killing people they considered to be mentally defective. And then they made this decision.”
