The Democrats are starting to realize that they have no chance in elections if they continue to vehemently oppose everything Trump is doing.

Failed presidential candidate and treasonous Russiagate conspirator Hillary Clinton said in a recent interview that she is “encouraged” by Trump’s actions with NATO and Ukraine as he seeks to bring the Russia-Ukraine war to an end.

Clinton made the comments during an appearance on the Raging Moderates podcast with host Jessica Tarlov.

Tarlov attempted to set her up to bash Trump, implying that President Trump has overseen a “breakdown” of relationships with allies and Europe is “just waiting for Donald Trump to turn around and say, ‘Actually, I would like to go back to more or less the way things were, because we are better together than we are on our own.’”

But Clinton said she was “actually encouraged” and highlighted Trump’s recent agreement for NATO members to raise defense spending targets from 2% to 5% of GDP instead of footing the bill for Europe like Biden, the Democrats, and worthless Republicans in Congress. In 2024, the U.S. spent $997 billion on defense, more than double the $485 billion spent by all European NATO members combined.

She also praised Trump’s controversial plans to sell US-made weapons and equipment to NATO allies that the alliance can then transfer to Ukraine. Last month, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth halted Patriot interceptors, artillery shells, and precision missiles, citing “dangerously low” U.S. inventories. However, in a reversal, Trump told reporters, “We’re going to send some more weapons. We have to. They have to be able to defend themselves. They’re getting hit very hard now.”

While many supporters of the President did not like U.S. weapons being used to continue the foreign war, this beats the Democrats’ previous decisions to give away billions of dollars in military equipment. Clinton seemed more in favor of the simple fact that American weapons would be purchased “in order to provide them to the Ukrainians.”

Tarlov: There’s been a lot of conversation about the breakdown of the post world war two order, and we don’t have the same kind of relationships with our allies. To put it in Clintonian terms, there’s a lot of dumb power being used, not a lot of smart power. How far, I guess, do you think this breakdown has been if we would be welcomed back into the proverbial fold. It seems like from the NATO summit that that is the case, that our European allies are just waiting for Donald Trump to turn around and say, “Actually, I would like to go back to more or less the way things were, because we are better together than we are on our own.” What are your thoughts on that?

Clinton: You know,Jessica, I actually was encouraged by the events of the last several months. First of all, the NATO commitment by individual member states to increase their defense spending is very welcome. It’s something that prior administrations have certainly sought, and I think it’s great that we are seeing these commitments that now have to be followed through on; the willingness of European countries to support Ukraine, and by doing so, buy American weapons in order to provide them to the Ukrainians.

I think all of that is a very good signal that there is beginning to be a better understanding, both by the President and the people around him, as well as by the leaders of our European allies, that there can be common ground amongst us, and the kind of dismissiveness that we saw in the first Trump administration has been replaced by a much more obvious working relationship to the good of European security, transatlantic security, and hopefully Ukrainian security. So, I’m actually encouraged.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, President Trump made a powerful appearance on the world stage, participating in the 2025 NATO Summit in The Hague, Netherlands, in June and demanding that Europe stop ripping the American people off. This led to the increased defense spending from European members and a commitment to buy American weapons.

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said Trump “deserves all the praise” for the breakthrough, asking, “Would you ever think that this would be the result of this summit if he would not have been re-elected president?”
