Vivo is taking a big swing at mobile photography with the X300 series.

You get 200MP ZEISS imaging on both the X300 and X300 Pro, with serious stabilisation, faster processing, and batteries that look built for long shooting days.

Vivo lays out the split, with the Pro model pairing a 200MP ZEISS APO telephoto with a 50MP gimbal-grade main on a large 1/1.28-inch sensor and CIPA 5.5 stabilisation, helped by a new VS1 imaging chip.

The regular X300 flips the focus to a 200MP main camera with CIPA 4.5 stabilisation and adds a refreshed telephoto.

Both add a 50MP wide front camera with autofocus and support a ZEISS 2.35x telephoto extender for those concert or stadium moments.

Video gets the spotlight too with 4K 120 fps Pro Video on both, while the Pro pushes into 4K 120 fps Dolby Vision and 10 bit Log for more flexible grading.

More than camera muscle

Vivo is using this launch to bring OriginOS to global markets for the first time, with a cleaner look, smarter widgets and a productivity kit that plays nicely with PCs.

Under the hood sits MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 and big BlueVolt batteries, 6040mAh on X300 and 6510mAh on Pro, plus 90W wired charging and wireless support.

Displays are bright LTPO panels with eye comfort dimming and the bodies are rated IP68 and IP69, so you can shoot in the rain and keep going.

Vivo’s recent track record suggests the brand can turn big sensors and ZEISS tuning into images that look natural instead of over-processed.

The Vivo X100 Pro is a reminder that Vivo knows its way around colour and night scenes, and the camera leaderboard in best camera phones shows how close the top tier has become. If the X300 keeps detail while holding back on sharpening, we get a new best camera phone contender. Pricing and full release dates are yet to be revealed.
