It’s not just LG and Samsung TVs that are up for sale during the Amazon Prime Day sales week, Sony has some options if you’re looking to cast your net wider.

There’s a 65-inch X75 model that’s currently going for £667, earning Prime customers a rather hefty saving of over £500 on the asking price.

We will caveat the discount that this is a TV from 2023, but Sony don’t refresh their TV line-ups as much as other TV brands, and it’s still part of Sony’s current line-up of 4K LED TVs.

The price crash also isn’t enormous as Amazon suggests it is, but the Sony X75 has been dropping steadily in price over the last several months, and we can say with absolute confidence that this price is the lowest it’s ever been at Amazon.

And what do you get for the £667? This model comes with Google TV, so you’re set up in terms of entertainment options with all the heavy hitters available in Disney+, Netflix and more; while Sony’s Google TV models are a rarity in that they also have support for all the UK catch-up and on-demand apps. That’s not the case with Google TV models from some other companies.

There’s smarts in the form of Google Assistant, while film buffs will enjoy the support for Dolby Vision HDR to present HDR films and TV series in the way the filmmakers wanted it to be seen. The Sony Pictures Core presents HDR streams of movies at their highest quality for those who have jumped off the physical 4K media train.

Game features include ALLM, the HDR tone mapping that optimises the HDR performance for the specific TV that a PS5 is connected to; while there’s a game bar to quickly change settings while you’re playing.

A 65-inch 4K TV from Sony for less than £700 is rarer than you might think it is. If you’re a fan of the Sony brand and are looking to upgrade to a newer set, this LED model is definitely one to consider during the Prime Day sales.
