We’ve not reviewed the Hisense 50E77NQTUK, so we can’t comment on its quality but he’s what we do know about it. It’s a QLED model from the 2024 range with support for both Dolby Vision (to improve its HDR performance) and Dolby Atmos (support for spatial audio with a connected Atmos soundbar).

With the Vidaa smart interface, you’ve got access to the likes of Disney+, Apple TV+, Netflix, Prime Video and more; while Freely support brings all the UK catch-up and on-demand apps to your living room over Wi-Fi without the need to connect to an aerial.

As per usual with TVs from the last few years, it’s got AI-enhanced features such as it’s 4K aI upscaler that helps make HD and SD content looking sharper, clearer and more detailed; while the AI Sports Mode has the effect of improving clarity of both the picture and sound.

Gamers can take advantage of Hisense’s Game Mode Plus with low latency input lag, while the Game Bar makes it easier to adapt the settings as you’re playing.

Cinema fans will have the Filmmaker Mode picture preset that’s the most accurate on the TV in terms of colour and contrast. Other HDR formats the TV supports include HDR10, HLG, and HDR10+, helping to produce the best HDR image regardless of what source you’re viewing.

There’s also an adaptive light sensor mode that claims to adjust brightness automatically so you get the best picture the TV can deliver whether you’re watching in a bright or dark room.

That is plenty for a TV that costs £255 as part of Amazon’s Prime Big Deals Day event. October 8th is the last day this deal will run for, so if you don’t want to wait until Black Friday for a new TV, now’s the time to plunge in and have a look at the deals that are on offer.
