Vivo has unveiled its new flagship phones, the X300 and X300 Pro, and they’re both packing some impressive specs, especially in the camera department.

Both the phones will run MediaTek’s new Dimensity 9500 chips and ship with OriginOS 6 on Android 16, according to GSMArena. They also feature some pretty nifty camera setups, which we’re sure will make an appearance in our best smartphones list at some point.

Vivo X300 Pro specs

The X300 Pro goes all in on optics. The triple rear camera setup comes with a 50MP Sony LYT-828 main1/1.28-inch sensor with f/1.57 aperture an gimbal OIS, a 50MP ultrawide and a 200MP 1/1.4-inch HPB sensor for the telephoto lens. On the front, the X300 Pro has a 50MP JN1 sensor for selfies and calls.

It’ll also support Vivo’s snap on 2.35x telephoto extender that debuted with the Ultra line, which is rare at this price tier and gives the Pro some long-range flexibility, as noted by The Verge.

As we’ve already mentioned the phone is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chip, as well as Vivo’s V3+ imaging chip. It has 16GB of RAM, 512GB of storage, and a 6,510 mAh battery with support for 90W wired and 40W wireless charging.

As for the display, it has a 6.78-inch 120Hz LTPO panel, an ultrasonic fingerprint reader, IP68/69 resistance and support for HDR+ and Dolby Vision.

It’ll be available in Black, Brown, Blue, and White colourways.

Vivo X300 specs

If you fancy something smaller, the X300 might be for you. Powered by the same chip and featuring the same amount of memory and storage, this phone is more compact than the Pro. That’s thanks to its 6.31-inch 120Hz LTPO display and 6,040 mAh battery, which also offers support for 90W wired and 40W wireless charging.

For the cameras, you’ll get a 200MP primary rear camera with a 1/1.4-inch sensor and f/1.68 aperture. It’ll also have a 50MP APO telephoto camera and 50MP JN1 ultrawide. The front camera is also a 50MP JN1. It’s an impressive offering for the base model – and one that’ll certainly turn some heads.

The X300 is the smaller of the two options, coming in at 190g. It’ll be available in Black, Blue, Pink, and Purple colourways.

Pricing and availability

Both phones are currently available to order in China, with prices for the X300 starting at ¥4,399 (~$620), with the Pro at ¥5,299 (~$745).

Vivo hasn’t yet announced worldwide release plans yet, but we usually see the flagships appear in Asia and Europe later down the line.

Opinion

These are some impressive flagships from Vivo. The Pro looks like a serious camera contender without Ultra-level pricing and the smaller X300 keeps most of the good stuff but in a more pocket-friendly size. I’m excited to see how much of a splash they make in China and whether they’ll be released worldwide.
