I’ve now covered countless deals for this year’s Amazon Prime Day but it’s the ongoing offer for the iPhone 16e that has surprised me the most.

With that new price tag in mind, the iPhone 16e is now much easier to recommend to the masses, particularly to those who have been tempted to hop aboard the iOS bandwagon. As a longtime Apple user who still reviews Android phones for a living, I can tell you that iOS is absolutely worth the hype.
Apple’s iPhone software is just so easy to use and so brilliantly designed that I always breathe a sigh of relief whenever I come back to it. From the fact that apps are just better designed for the ecosystem, to the aesthetically pleasing widgets that align perfectly within a grid, there’s a lot to like.
It also helps that Apple’s own brand apps are some of the best of their kind. Apple News for instance is excellent for staying on top of global events and trends, and it’s only made better with the Apple News Plus subscription which gives you access to major magazines and newspapers.
Apple Music boasts lossless audio at a price that significantly undercuts the competition, and if you bring in a pair of AirPods Pro 2 into the mix, then you’ll be treated to an audio experience unlike any other.
As a final note, the iPhone 16e gives you full access to the suite of Apple Intelligence features including transcriptions of recordings and text message summaries. Of course, you’ll also be privy to any Apple Intelligence updates as they appear, so the phone is securely future proofed.
The iPhone 16e was a tricky phone to recommend at full price, but now that it’s available with such a major reduction, it’s now a bargain buy for those hunting around the mid-range sector.
