Honor has launched the Magic8 Lite in the UK, and the headline features are hard to miss: a massive 7500mAh silicon-carbon battery, a 108MP ultra-sensing camera, and durability certifications you rarely see on a mid-range phone.
It arrives early 2026 and is positioned as one of Honor’s most robust all-rounders yet – making it an early contender for our best mid-range phones list next year.
The battery is easily the standout feature with Honor claiming that the 7500mAh cell can stretch to three days of use. This reportedly equates to 52.5 hours of music streaming or nearly 24 hours of video playback on a single charge. The phone also supports reverse wired charging, letting the phone double as a mini power bank when needed. And with 66W SuperCharge, topping up shouldn’t take long.
Durability also gets an unusual amount of attention for a Lite model. The Magic8 Lite carries the SGS 5-Star Comprehensive Reliability Certification, plus an IP69K rating, meaning it can handle drops up to 2.5 metres, brief exposure to hot water, and even survive 30 minutes submerged at 1.5 metres. Anti-drop materials like a non-Newtonian layer and ultra-deep tempered glass help reinforce the frame, while software features like AI Heavy Rain Touch and AI Glove Touch aim to keep the screen responsive in difficult weather conditions.
On the camera side, Honor has opted for a 108MP main sensor with OIS and EIS, allowing for brighter, sharper photos in both daylight and low light. The company’s AI features make a return too, including AI Eraser, AI Cutout, and AI Outpainting, alongside a handy 4K moving photo collage mode. There’s also Honor Connection for easier image transfers, even to iOS devices.
The front of the device is dominated by a 6.79-inch 1.5K OLED display, supporting 1.07 billion colours, a 120Hz refresh rate, and an impressive 6000-nit peak HDR brightness. Honor’s slim 1.3mm bezels push the screen-to-body ratio to 94.6%, while its suite of eye-comfort features including 3840Hz PWM dimming and a circadian night mode rounds out the display experience.
Running on the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4, performance gets a small but meaningful bump over the previous generation, with GPU speeds up 29% and CPU up 11%. Honor’s RAM Turbo tech helps push the 8GB RAM to an effective 16GB, and storage is generous at 512GB.
The Magic8 Lite arrives in Forest Green, Midnight Black, and Reddish Brown, and will launch in the UK early 2026 alongside the Magic8 Pro.
