We haven’t reviewed this vintage of the Bose QuietComfort line-up, but they are close in terms of specs and performance (if not identical) to the QuietComfort Headphones, which we have reviewed.
We gave that model four-stars, praising its comfort, noise-cancellation performance and solid sound. For a mid-range pair of headphones, the QuiteComfort Headphones were a solid pair and we’d expect a similar performance with the QuietComfort SC.
The comfort and fit makes this pair of headphones an excellent choice if you’re using them on long journeys and flights. They’re foldable so you can collapse them and chuck them into a bag when you’re out and about.
The noise-cancellation would be solid if the performance is on par with the QuietComfort Headphones. While they didn’t get rid of all the noises, they cut down the general noise of walking around a big city. You can get better for noise-cancellation but there aren’t too many at this price that would could easily recommend outside of Sennheiser and Beats models that have had a similar Black Friday reduction.
The sound quality should be warmer, more spacious than Bose’s older models; with a bit more depth and reach to the low frequencies and extracting more detail from songs as well.
If you’re after a travel companion then the Bose QuietComfort SC headphones are a good pair of headphones to have on your person, and this deal has brought them down to close to their lowest price of 2024.
