Bluesound has refreshed its most popular all-in-one speaker, unveiling the new Pulse Flex.
The Flex is a compact, high-resolution streaming speaker that supports lossless audio playback, putting it in direct competition with the Sonos Era 100.
The redesigned model marks the first major update in ten years, combining a minimalist new design with the hi-res sound that Bluesound is known for.
Don’t let the size fool you. The Pulse Flex packs a punch, featuring a custom SmartDSP amp, a 4-inch woofer, and a 0.75-inch tweeter, delivering 50 watts of total output.
It supports 24-bit/192 kHz high-resolution playback and MQA decoding. It even plays DSD256 files, giving it serious hi-fi credentials in a portable form factor.

You’ve got all the connectivity you could want: dual-band Wi-Fi, aptXO HD Bluetooth, Gigabit Ethernet, and a USB-C/optical input. The Pulse Flex works within the BluOS multi-room ecosystem, so you can stream from over 20 music services, including Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Qobuz, and Apple AirPlay 2.
You get three finish options: Black Charcoal, White Pebble Grey, or White Tan. So whether it’s on a kitchen shelf, a nightstand, or tucked into your office, it’s easy to make it fit in.
It has a flexible setup, so the Pulse Flex can be used solo, as a stereo pair, or even as rear surrounds when combined with Bluesound’s Powernode or Pulse Cinema systems.
There are optional accessories like wall mounts, stands, and fabric grille covers, so you can get the look and placement just right.

The new Bluesound Pulse Flex launches on December 16 for £279 or €299. You’ll find it at authorised dealers and on Bluesound’s website.
