Running never looked this good. Sporty & Rich and adidas Originals have teamed up again, fusing ‘90s nostalgia with early ‘00s tech for a collection that blurs performance and style. Think run club energy meets street-ready cool.
At the heart of the drop is the ADISTAR CONTROL 5 sneaker, first released in 2008 and now reborn with metallic overlays, fresh color blocking, and co-branded details. The kicks land in two clean colorways: white with black-and-teal stripes and grey accented with teal shimmer.

They’re paired with an adidas lineup of run-club essentials. Those include bralettes, biker shorts, a windbreaker, and an oversized cotton sweatshirt. Each is designed to take you from morning miles to post-run hangs. Accessories round things out with a nylon waist bag and slouchy logo socks.

Captured through the lens of Purienne, the collection stars model Hyunjoo Hwan, whose presence matches the collection’s minimal yet athletic vibe. Sun-drenched trails and city views amplify the balance between discipline and ease that defines the brand.

Launching October 1 on sportyandrich.com with a wider release on October 6, this collab proves running can be an aesthetic.
