Shark has unveiled the latest addition to its hair styling range: the Shark Glam.
Unlike many stylers, which don’t allow users the freedom to both embrace their natural texture while still being able to experiment and create different styles, the Shark Glam promises incredible versatility.
Shark explains its new Shark Glam tool was designed to address the specific needs of textured hair, as “hair types 3 and 4 have long been underserved in the styling tool category”.
Included with all sets are:
- Shark Glossi Hot Tool and Air Glosser, a ceramic and air-powered round brush with a nifty teardrop shape, which allows better access at the roots to completely smooth your hair.
- 32mm Coanda Auto-Wrap Curlers, a tool that’s now a staple with multi-stylers and allows you to curl your hair without relying on heat.
- Concentrator for smooth and focused hair drying.
- Shark Silki Hot Tool and Air Straightener, an air straightener with ceramic plates that incredibly allows you to dry and straighten wet hair for quick and effective smooth styling.
On the latter point, you might cringe at the thought of straightening wet hair, but this is no longer the case. In fact, Shark explains the Air Straightener boasts Heat Sense Technology, which monitors and regulates temperatures to avoid causing heat damage.
There are two styling sets to choose from: Sleek Straight/Wavy or Straight, Waves and Defined Curls. The former is designed for those with type one and type two hair and throws in a useful FrizzFighter tool. The tool uses Coanda airflow technology with two streams of air to both reduce frizz and flyaways while increasing shine.
The latter set is designed for all hair types, including type three and type four, and adds a curl-defining diffuser to enhance natural curl definition and speed up the notoriously long curly drying process.
At the time of writing, Shark has yet to reveal the price of the Shark Glam and only states that the multi-styler will be available from September. However, customers in the UK can join the waitlist to be among the first to get their hands on the tool.
