A very powerful hard floor cleaner that can use steam.
Keeping your hard floors clean doesn’t get easier than the Roborock F25 Ultra Wet Dry Vacuum Cleaner. With 20,000Pa suction power, it can easily pull dirt from the floor, and there’s an option to clean with 302-degree F steam or 187-degree F hot water. One pass is all that’s needed – even with caked-on messes. The wet dry vacuum can also lie completely flat to clean under furniture and other low areas. Cleaning the vacuum itself is just as easy with a self-cleaning and self-drying roller. Voice alerts help guide you through the process, and the vacuum can even be controlled from your smartphone via the app. However, don’t expect all of these fancy features at a budget-friendly price.

The wet dry vacuum cleans and dries itself
Introduction
Many years ago, Roborock made the very first cordless stick vacuum that I ever tested (Roborock H6 Cordless Vacuum) and the very first robot vacuum and mop (Roborock S5 Robot Vacuum and Mop). In doing so, the company actually set the standard that I would use to judge vacuum cleaners by – and I’ve consistently been impressed with Roborock’s products. In fact, the company has landed on Trusted Review’s list of the best hard floor cleaners, as well as the best robot vacuum cleaners.
I was not disappointed with the Roborock F25 Ultra Wet Dry Vacuum Cleaner, which is loaded with useful features. Whether you have hardwood, tile, vinyl plank, or laminate floors, it does an excellent job of cleaning them. The cordless wet dry vacuum can clean with steam or hot water, and the blue lights on the front expose debris hidden in corners or on dark floors.
The self-propelling wet dry vacuum is also easy to manoeuvre, and even glides around furniture. And you can even clean far underneath your sofas and beds with the lay-flat design (well, I can’t because my living room and bedroom are carpeted). Another useful feature: after downloading the app, I was able to remotely steer the Roborock F25 Ultra as it was lying flat. I could simply tap the direction in which I wanted it to flow, and the vacuum cleaner responded accordingly.
The ability to clean right up against the wall (or baseboard) ensures a more thorough clean, and the 22,000 Pa suction power pulls even stubborn dirt and debris from the floor. The Roborock F25 Ultra is also self-cleaning and self-drying. Aside from the price, it’s quite a perfect machine.
Design and features
- 4 cleaning modes
- Edge-to-edge cleaning design
- Self-clean station
The Roborock F25 Ultra arrived in a branded carboard box with Styrofoam and plastic to keep everything securely in place.

The contents include the main body of the vacuum cleaner, roller, handle, charging dock – which includes the drying tray, power cord, filter, maintenance brush, cleaning solution, manual, quick start guide, and a visual guide.

I must admit, while both the vacuum and the charging station are rather sleek, the white charging cord feels like an afterthought since it stands in stark contrast to the black machine and dock. (It looks like I lost the original charging cord, and rummaged through my home to find another cord that would fit.)
It took 4 hours for the Roborock F25 Ultra to completely charge. As soon as I plugged it up, voice commands came through the speaker. I never turn voice commands off, because I find them quite helpful (“Charging started . . . self-cleaning finished . . . empty water tank”).

Why the wet dry vacuum was charging, I downloaded and connected to the Roborock app. This gives me the ability to start or pause self-cleaning and drying from my smartphone. I can also select from the four cleaning modes – and decide the degree to which I want the adaptive drive wheels to operate (slow, moderate, and rapid).

The four cleaning modes are as follows:
Steam mode: for dried-on messes and stubborn stains. The Roborock F25 Ultra steam cleans at 302°F, and also removes bacteria and germs.
Hot water mode: When choosing this mode, water heats up to 187 degrees F to dissolve greasy messes.
Sponge mode: In this mode, the roller absorbs water on the floor.
Auto mode: The wet dry vacuum decides the best cleaning mode.
There’s a soft roller brush – important because it doesn’t scratch hard floors. The clean water and dirty water are housed in separate containers. The clean water tank is 33 ounces, and the dirty water tank is 24 ounces.

The Roborock F25 Ultra is designed to provide an edge-to-edge cleaning, eliminating those gaps that occur when the vacuum isn’t flush with the wall.
There’s also a blue light on the front of the wet dry vacuum, which makes it easier to see hidden debris – especially on dark surfaces. I can turn this searchlight on or off in the app. I can also turn the voice alerts on or off in the app – and access the maintenance menu and product guide, as well as download firmware updates.
In the app, I can also start, pause, or stop the self-cleaning mode. And I can choose one of the two self-drying modes: The 5-minute drying time is fast, but loud, and the 20-minute drying mode takes longer, but it’s quieter.
Performance
- 20,000 Pa suction power
- Steam cleans, hot water cleans, sponge cleans
- Easily removes even caked-upon stains
The Roborock F25 cleans exceptionally well. This is due, in part, to the 22,000 Pa suction power, which easily removes dirt, debris, and even caked-on messes.
In addition to using the wet dry vacuum on a regular basis to clean my hard floors, I also conducted specific tests.
For my first test, I poured some Worcestershire sauce on the kitchen floor, let it sit for about 5 minutes, and then used the Auto mode to easily clean it up. I went forward and backward once and that was more than enough to remove all traces of the stains.
For my second test, I poured some mustard on the kitchen floor, and let it sit for about 45 minutes. I used the Steam mode this time, and again, just one forward and backward motion removed the mustard.
In my third test, I poured some barbecue sauce on the kitchen floor and let it sit for almost an hour. I used the Hot Water mode this time. Once again, just one forward and backward motion lifted the barbecue sauce.
On another day, I poured some water on the bathroom floor and used the Sponge mode. It easily soaked up the water with one forward and backward motion.
Full disclosure: with the Worcestershire sauce, mustard, and barbecue sauce, it was obvious that the Roborock F25 was working. However, the first time I used the wet dry vacuum for just general cleaning, I wondered it if was actually doing anything, because the floor didn’t appear to be that wet.
However, the voice prompt alerted me that the clean water tank was empty and needed to be refilled – so the water was indeed flowing out, but the wet dry vac was very efficiently cleaning the floor, so there was no sloppy mess. Also, when it was time to empty the dirty water tank, it was quite dirty, further proof that the Roborock F25 was working.
The wet dry vacuum can lay completely flat – which is helpful if you need to clean under furniture or other low areas.

And here’s a fun feature that I discovered: after laying the vacuum flat, I can remotely control it via my smartphone. I can press the up or down buttons to move it forward or backward, and also cause it to turn to the left or right. Note: this only works when the vacuum is laying flat.
Should you buy it?
You should buy if you have floors that get very dirty
If you have kids or pets, the Roborock F25 Ultra does an excellent job of cleaning up spills and stains.
Don’t buy if you’re on a budget.
There are other wet dry vacuums on the market that cost less. They may not lay flat, may not have a steam feature, and may not be self-cleaning. But they do a good job of cleaning.
Final Thoughts
It’s expensive, but the Roborock F25 is one of the best wet and dry vacuums that I’ve ever tested. The ability to use steam or hot water to clean messes on hard floors makes that task much easier. With the self-propelling feature, the machine takes off with just a touch, and being able to remotely control it when the wet dry vacuum is lying flat is a game-changer for people who need to clean underneath furniture. No one wants to clean vacuum cleaners, and the self-cleaning functions further endear the Roborock F25 to me. If you can afford it, I definitely recommend it. If you want something cheaper, then the guide to the best hard floor cleaners can help.
