One of our favourite ANC headphones are back to a bargain price

Despite being succeeded by the second generation, the original Bose QuietComfort Ultra headphones remain one of our favourite pairs – especially when nabbed at a bargain price.

Not only did we praise the 4.5-star rated cans’ excellent audio quality, which we found offers a rich yet balanced sound, but we were especially blown away by the noise cancelling prowess.

The QuietComfort Ultra headphones have three levels of noise cancelling modes to choose from, starting at Aware which lets in external sounds and Quiet for blocking out most outside noise. 

These modes are rounded off by the Immersion setting which cleverly combines noise cancelling with Bose Immersive audio, enabling the music to move with you and your headphones. Alternatively, if you’re sat still, you’ll benefit from a wider soundstage when Immersion is enabled. 

In fact, not only do we advise that you should buy these headphones if you want “the best ANC” but we even found its noise cancelling abilities to work even when there’s a lull in music too. 

Otherwise, we praised the QuietComfort Ultra as being easily “one of the most comfortable headphones to wear”. Plus, thanks to up to 24-hours of battery life, the Bose QuietComfort Ultra headphones are a brilliant set for those who typically don their headphones for longer periods of time.

Overall, we awarded the Bose QuietComfort Ultra headphones with a 4.5-star rating, with AV Editor Kob Monney concluding they are “an excellent pair of wireless over-ears”. Kob continues by praising the noise-cancellation as “class-leading for over-ears”.
