It’s time to get out your best black t-shirt, tie your hair back and get ready to slay some demons with metal. Yep, the VR version of Metal: Hellsinger has finally got a launch date, and you can pre-order it now for Meta Quest 2/3 and Pro alongside PSVR2.
If you pre-order you will also receive the Dream of the Beast DLC free of charge which will bag you two additional songs, a weapon, and three new outfits with differing passive effects.
What are we talking about? Well, Metal: Hellsinger is a first-person shooter where you slay demons in time with a metal soundtrack handily provided by a host of legends including Serj Tankian (System of a Down), Matt Heafy (Trivium), and Alissa White-Gluz (Arch Enemy).
With the Dream of the Beast DLC, the score is expanded with two more songs, performed by Cristina Scabbia (Lacuna Coil) and Will Ramos (Lorna Shore). Speaking of the DLC, The three outfits included in the DLC will not only change your look but also your default passive effect, including the ability to increase your weapon’s max ammo each time you successfully Quick Reload.
When the game came out on flat screen it did really well so we can see actually immersing yourself in VR is going to make this one very popular indeed.
As we said you can pre-order now ahead of the game’s actual release on the 26th of September for Meta units and will arrive a little later on the 3rd of October for PCVR2 and Steam.
Metal: Hellsinger VR is being released by Funcom and developed by The Outsiders from Sweden (obviously) who consists of industry veterans from the likes of Dice, Arrowhead, and many other Scandinavian studios.
We don’t have any word on the price as yet but will add that in as soon as we hear back.
