If your dog or cat loves to pull a Houdini, Life360 might have just made your life easier. The company behind one of the most popular family safety apps has launched the Life360 Pet GPS, a new tracker designed to keep tabs on your pets and let you know the second they decide to make a break for it.

The Life360 Pet GPS tracker, which comes in three different colours, integrates seamlessly into the existing Life360 app, meaning you can monitor your pets right alongside your other bits. It uses GPS, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth, working across multiple carriers to keep your pet’s location updated every 10 to 12 seconds when they’re away from home – provided you have a Gold Membership, which costs £9.99/month.

It’s small, lightweight and waterproof up to one metre, with a flexible attachment that fits almost any collar. The rechargeable battery lasts up to 14 days, but it also has clever Reserve Mode that can stretch to six months.

The tracker also lets you set custom geofences to define safe zones like your garden or house. The tracker will then ping you if your pet escapes those areas. And if your pet does manage to escape, Life360 is giving you access to upcoming Pet Finder Network, which notifies nearby members of your lost pet – allowing them to join the search.

The Life360 Pet GPS is available now in the UK. While the tracker is priced at £49.99, early adopters can grab it for £3.60 alongside a Gold or Platinum membership, which costs £9.99 or £19.99/month respectively.
