ICYMI, we’re pretty big Hoka fans here at Well+Good. The brand’s lineup of running and lifestyle shoes are supportive, approved by the American Podiatric Medical Association, and cute to boot (er, sneaker?). So when we found out Hoka was partnering with Reformation—another brand we adore—we practically squealed.

Stylish and sustainable Reformation has taken one of Hoka’s most beloved styles—the Mach 6—and given it an eco-friendly makeover. The Hoka Mach 6 LS Reformation ($160) edition swaps the sporty performance fabrics of the original Mach 6 for completely recyclable materials. Yes, there’s still the rocker-style sole and high-heel cup we’ve come to know and love from Hoka running shoes, only in elevated lifestyle fabrics that can be turned into more shoes, like LWG-Certified suede and organic cotton canvas. Available in three minimalist-yet-distinct colorways, the Hoka Mach 6 LS Reformation sports a Ref-branded tongue and colorful recycled laces, too (two with every shoe so you can mix and match). Whether you choose the creamy eggnog color or the poppy syrah red, the sleek silhouette is versatile enough to pair with pretty much any athleisure ‘fit.

Because the heart and sole (sorry) of the Mach 6 LS Ref is the same as the OG, you can run, walk, and sure, prance in this limited edition style knowing you’re still getting Hoka’s tried-and-true support and cushion. Yes, prance—If you feel like the redheaded woman in the collab’s promo photos looks familiar, it’s because you’re remembering her viral Prancercise videos from 2012 YouTube. Her name is Joanna Rohrback, and she’s not done trying to encourage a healthier lifestyle through exercise (specifically, prancing through a series of her patented, horse-like movements) and mindfulness practices.

I tried them myself, and they do feel as springy, lightweight, and plush as other Hoka shoes I’ve worn, although the luxe materials and lighter colorways make them a better fit as a lifestyle shoe. If you’re hoping to preserve the suede and keep the canvas clean, I’d reserve them for brunch or bopping around town running errands (instead of logging miles).

Best of all, when you’re ready to kiss your precious Mach 6 LS Reformation sneaks goodbye, you can recycle them through Reformation’s RefRecycling program. All you need to do is stop by a Reformation store to drop them off, or request a (pre-paid) shipping label. Reformation gives $10 store credit for recycled shoes, so you get a little treat for doing something good for the environment. Prance on over to Reformation before they sell out to get your limited-edition sneakers here.
