Garmin’s Prime Day deal puts all other fitness trackers to shame

Amazon has no shortage of deals on fitness trackers right now, but there’s one that shines above the competition.

If you’ve been tuning into our coverage of the Amazon Prime Day sale then you’ll already know that we’ve spotted plenty of wearable offers from the likes of Fitbit, Apple and Samsung, but in spite of all that competition, it’s Garmin that’s come out on top.

In a deal that honestly made me do a double take, you can now buy the excellent Garmin Vivoactive 5 for just £160.49. What’s amazing is that the deal is even better than you first think it is, as Amazon currently lists the before price as £189, but the Vivoactive 5 actually went for £259.99 at launch, so you’re saving close to £100 on that original price tag.

The Garmin Vivoactive 5 has all the features that most people need including workout tracking, a super long battery life and GPS, but now it’s down to a bargain price.

Given just how many Garmin watches there are in 2025, it can be a bit tricky for the average person to figure out exactly where to start with it all, but if you’re someone who just wants to get fit, keep tabs on their progress and also track the quality of their sleep then the Garmin Vivoactive 5 does all of that and a bit more for a very reasonable price.

For starters, it packs a bright 1.2-inch AMOLED display that allows all of Garmin’s watch faces to really pop whenever you look at them. The vibrancy of AMOLED also makes it easier to read through workout reports on your wrist without needing to fish your phone out of your pocket.

As you can imagine, there’s no shortage of the type of workouts that can be tracked on the Vivoactive 5, including everything from weightlifting to cycling, rowing and pilates. You’ll even know right away which type of workout your body is ready for based on your Morning Report, which appears the moment you wake up to let you know how well rested you are.

Unlike the latest Apple Watches which can only last for a day or two at best, the Vivoactive 5 can run the gamut for up to 11-days at a time. This longevity makes it better suited as a device that you also wear to bed, as you won’t have to worry about the battery not lasting until morning and your sleep data being lost.

You don’t even need to bring your phone with you for as the watch can connect to GPS independently, and play your favourite Spotify playlists offline thanks to local storage. There’s also Garmin Pay for picking up a quick post-run snack down the shops.

For all that the Garmin Vivoactive 5 offers, £160.49 is a bargain price that just hasn’t been beaten by any of the other wearable deals available this Prime Day.
