Just when you thought the climate alarmists and the woke radical left couldn’t get crazier, illegitimate Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs has declared a “heat state of emergency”… in the desert.
This came after a hot July in the desert where temperatures in Phoenix reached 31 consecutive days of 110 degrees Fahrenheit-plus weather and 33 heat-related deaths were recorded in the valley, according to Fox 10.
It was hot in Arizona, as usual. This is clearly not an emergency, and progressive destruction with homelessness, inflation, and drugs flowing across the southern border is likely to blame for the increase in heat-related deaths.
Abe Hamadeh attorney Jen Wright noted the previous record temperatures of 120 degrees or more last month as the agenda-pushing media started creating this climate hoax.
Today Phx was 113*; record high – 116.
Phx 5 record temps:
🥵 119 (6/29/13)
🥵 119 (6/20/17)
🥵 120 (6/25/90)
🥵 121 (7/28/95)
🥵 122 (6/26/90)@PrescottNF is the greenest I’ve seen in July; ferns cover the forest floor, seasonal streams still run.“Record heat” = gaslighting. pic.twitter.com/Oi659otOpZ

With Hobbs’ emergency declaration came an executive order from the Hobbs’ office “to better coordinate future government heat responses statewide and announced state-run cooling centers,” reads an August 11 statement. Fox reports, “$200,000 will be made available to the Director of the Arizona Division of Emergency Management, due to heat-related exposure in Coconino, Maricopa and Pinal Counties from June 30 to July 30, 2023.”
GOP State Legislatures were quick to criticize Hobbs and her climate power grab to impose “green energy” policies on Arizona families and businesses. Why don’t these people go clean up the trash left behind by illegal immigrants and human smugglers at the southern border?
This stupidity is why we didn’t want her to have unfettered power.

State Representative Cory McGarr called Hobbs a “climate extremist and a science denier.”
@GovernorHobbs is a climate extremist and a science denier. She believes declaring an emergency will change the weather. It’s Arizona and it gets hot… https://t.co/q9MWO64tyq

State Rep. Joseph Chaplik called this upcoming hoax from the Democrats weeks before the emergency declaration.
Fake climate emergency probably coming from Hobbs and the dems to shut you down and more lock downs. Vote yes for HCR2039 to limit governors emergency powers and empower your legislature to decide real emergencies. #AZGOP https://t.co/0sSotZT2Xo

In addition, Hobbs tweeted last week that she “urged [Biden] to take action to address the extreme heat we are facing” and met with federal officials on August 16 to discuss “future heat emergencies.”
During President Biden’s recent trip to Arizona, I urged him to take action to address the extreme heat we are facing. Today, my team met with White House National Climate Advisor Ali Zaidi and Homeland Security Advisor Caitlin Durkovich for a discussion on how we can keep… pic.twitter.com/IyrRI3Yf41

The Gateway Pundit reported on Monday that climate change activist groups and left-wing members of Congress are also using the fires in Maui to urge Joe Biden to declare a ‘national emergency’ over climate change.
What does this mean for the 2024 election? Will “climate emergencies” be part of the next wave of lockdowns?
