Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) continues to spread a disgusting and already debunked smear of President Trump’s Secretary of Defense nominee Pete Hegseth.

Hegseth, 44, is a nearly 20-year Army National Guard officer who fought in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, rising to the rank of Major.

Warren, who has joined a coordinated effort by the left to smear him, recently wrote a letter to Hegseth peddling a false smear regarding two of his tattoos.

The letter references his Deus Vult,” (God wills it) tattoo and falsely ties it to “right-wing extremism.”

The letter from Warren reads in part:

After the attack on the Capitol, you “spread baseless conspiracy theories claiming the initial break-in was a false flag operation carried out by leftist groups disguised as Trump supporters.” You were also removed from President Biden’s inauguration because of concerns that you were an insider threat after reports that your “Deus Vult” tattoo “was a Christian expression associated with right-wing extremism.” We cannot have a Defense Secretary whose fellow servicemembers feel concerned enough about to report as a potential insider threat.

Hegseth addressed the manufactured controversy over his tattoos in a social media post.

Watch:

Vice-President elect JD Vance weighed in in November when the AP attempted the same smear saying, “They’re attacking Pete Hegseth for having a Christian motto tattooed on his arm. This is disgusting anti-Christian bigotry from the AP, and the entire organization should be ashamed of itself.”
