Democrat strategist James Carville is not the political guru he would like to believe he is.

In February, Carville gleefully claimed that the Trump White House would “collapse in the next 30 days.”

A recent poll shows that Ragin’ Cajun’s wishful thinking is just that—wishful, and he has completely lost the pulse of American voters.

A report from the Washington Examiner shows that, according to Rasmussen Reports, President Trump’s approval was at 52% on Friday and the same as Thursday.

Per Ramussen:

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Friday shows that 52% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Trump’s job performance. Forty-seven percent (47%) disapprove.

The latest figures include 37% who Strongly Approve of the job Trump is doing and 39% who Strongly Disapprove. This gives him a Presidential Approval Index rating of -2. (see trends)

In fact, the ratings reveal that President Trump is enjoying his highest approval since Carville’s unfounded hope that his support would “crater.”

Speaking with Mediaite’s Dan Abrams in February about Trump’s first month in office, Carville claimed the administration was heading for a “massive collapse.”

“I believe that this administration, in less than 30 days is in the midst of a massive collapse and particularly a collapse in public opinion,” Carville said.

“It’s collapsing right now,” he continued. “We’re in the midst of a collapse.”

”This is the lowest approval, not even close, that any president has ever had at a comparable time.”
