Community Fibre is giving its fastest broadband plans a major boost, with the London provider now rolling out WiFi 7 routers across its 2.5Gbps, 2.5Gbps Premium, and 5Gbps Premium packages.
The upgrade should result in faster wireless speeds, better stability, and a smoother performance for households with multiple connected devices.
The new routers come from Linksys and support the latest WiFi 7 standard, which Community Fibre says can deliver wireless speed increases of 18% to 40% depending on the plan. That should make a noticeable difference for households juggling 8K streaming, cloud gaming, video calls, VR headsets, and a growing number of smart home gadgets — all without the usual slowdowns.
On the 2.5Gbps Full Fibre package (£39/month on a 24-month contract), expected WiFi speeds jump from 500–800Mbps up to 700–950Mbps, with a £50 Xbox voucher available for new sign-ups until 22 December.
Alternatively, you can opt for the 2.5Gbps Premium tier plan (£43/month) which delivers the same wireless performance bump but adds guaranteed whole-home coverage, bespoke engineer setup, and priority support.
For those pushing even more devices, the top-end 5Gbps Premium plan (£63/month) sees WiFi speeds rise from 600–950Mbps to 800–1050Mbps, again with whole-home coverage and priority support included.
Just note that all packages will be subject to a £2 price rise every April.
Community Fibre says the WiFi 7 rollout is part of its push to stay ahead as one of London’s “fastest broadband networks”. In fact, the company already claims speeds up to 72× faster than the UK’s national average for downloads, and 272× faster on uploads which is a key advantage for gamers, hybrid workers, and anyone dealing with large cloud backups.
The new WiFi 7 routers are available now for new customers on supported plans, with free installation across all packages. More details on the provider’s full fibre options can be found at communityfibre.co.uk or by contacting its customer team.
