Brisant is updating its smart lock lineup with the Ultion Nuki 2025, pairing its most secure cylinder design with built-in Wi-Fi and a new auto-unlock feature that activates when users arrive home.
Brisant has launched the Ultion Nuki 2025, a redesigned and upgraded version of its predecessor that pairs the company’s high-security Ultion 3 Star PLUS cylinder with built-in Wi-Fi and hands-free unlocking, allowing the door to open automatically when the homeowner approaches.
The lock retains the same mechanical security core found in previous Ultion models, including anti-pick, anti-bump and anti-drill protection. Its molybdenum central shield is 25% denser than iron and it helps reinforce the cylinder against physical attacks, and Brisant notes that the 60% thicker precision-cut keys are designed to resist snapping and bending.
The core is certified by the Master Locksmiths Association, complies with recommended police security standards and comes with Ultion’s £5,000 burglary guarantee.
For 2025, the Ultion Nuki adopts a slimmer profile and wider customisation options. External handles come in seven colours with a 20-year anti-corrosion guarantee, while the internal unit is available in black, white or chrome. Built-in Wi-Fi removes the need for an additional bridge, enabling remote locking, unlocking and update delivery directly through the Nuki app.
The standout feature is hands-free entry: when enabled, the lock detects when you’re close to the door and unlocks automatically, then relocks after you’ve stepped inside. Of course, you don’t have to use this – the lock still comes with a conventional key, Nuki keypad, key fob or smartphone, and a central button inside, which provides one-press locking.
A rechargeable battery also offers up to nine months of runtime and charges over USB-C, either on or off the door.
The Ultion Nuki 2025 supports Matter over Thread, making it compatible with Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Samsung SmartThings. Installation requires no drilling or wiring and fits common handle fixing sizes in just four minutes, apparently.
