BREAKING UPDATE: Multiple Deputies Shot Attempting to Serve Warrants at Home in Pittsylvania County, Virginia | The Gateway Pundit

There are reports of at least one deputy shot in Pittsylvania County, Virginia, on Wednesday evening.

Multiple law enforcement agencies, including state, local, and federal, are responding to an active scene at the intersection of Pittsville Road and Homestead Road.

A medical helicopter was dispatched to the scene.

Congressman John McGuire confirmed multiple deputies were shot, but details about the shooting are not clear.

WCYB reported that a deputy was injured as authorities were serving search warrants at a home. The individual is now barricaded in their home, and law enforcement is using loudspeakers to get the person out of the house.

WDBJ reported:

First responders from several agencies are at the scene of, or responding to, an incident in Pittsylvania County’s Gretna Wednesday evening.

No information has been released and no agencies are yet talking, but a WDBJ7 reporter says there is a “very heavy scene at the intersection of Pittsville Road and Homestead Road in Pittsylvania County.”

The Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office, Campbell County Sheriff’s Office, Amherst County Sheriff, Danville Police Department, Virginia State Troopers, Gretna Fire and Rescue, Hurt Fire Department, U.S. Marshalls, and a Centra Helicopter are there, with more agencies arriving.
