The iPhone 16e is already considered the most affordable iPhone in Apple’s range of smartphones, but Prime members can bag a significant discount on the popular iPhone right now as part of Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days.

Apple’s most affordable iPhone just got a whole lot cheaper
There is a catch, however: the deal is only available to Amazon Prime subscribers. The good news is that you can sign up for a free trial of Amazon Prime to get around this barrier; just be sure to cancel before the trial ends if you’re not interested in subscribing long-term.
The previous entry-level iPhone SE was always a bit of a hard sell, but Apple’s upgraded iPhone 16e is a much easier phone to like; like other recent iPhones, it finally ditches the Home button design for an all-screen alternative, complete with recent additions like Face ID and even the programmable Action Button.
It also features the same A18 chipset as the flagship iPhone 16, so expect it to run some of the latest apps and games without much issue. It’s also what powers the phone’s Apple Intelligence support, allowing for access to handy GenAI features that let you transcribe recordings, edit your photos and search for information in new ways.
Though there’s only a single camera on the rear, the high-res 48MP sensor – the same as that found in the iPhone 16 – doubles up as a 2x telephoto via in-sensor zoom, allowing you to get closer to the action without needing to actually move. There’s also support for the high-end video recording Apple is famed for, including Dolby Vision HDR video recording.
Now, it doesn’t come with support for Apple’s popular MagSafe technology, but you can still purchase magnetic cases for the phone that add support for the magnetic tech retrospectively. Hey, it’s a budget-focused phone – there have to be cuts somewhere, right?
Overall, though, the iPhone 16e offers the core iPhone experience at a more friendly price point – even more so with this tempting deal, so act quickly if you’re tempted.
The iPhone 16e is the spiritual successor to the iPhone SE 3 and the most affordable entry in Apple’s current phone range. There’s nothing here that’ll get the attention of iPhone 16 owners.
