Apple is bringing its Vision Pro app to iPad with the upcoming release of iPadOS 26.1, signalling the first time iPad users can browse and manage content for the headset directly from their device.
The Vision Pro app, which originally launched for iPhone earlier this year with iOS 18.4, provides users an easy way to browse and download apps, games, and immersive media experiences made for Apple’s mixed-reality headset, all without needing to wear it.
With iPad support, Apple is giving users a larger and more convenient workspace for queueing downloads, exploring content, organising their library, and customising the Vision Pro experience with greater ease.
Apple confirmed the expansion in its press release for the new Vision Pro powered by the M5 chip. The app includes a Discover tab highlighting curated recommendations for “new and noteworthy experiences available on Apple Vision Pro,” covering categories such as Immersive Video, 3D movies, and more spatial apps designed to showcase the Vision Pro’s capabilities.
The My Vision Pro section in the companion app also gives the owner remote access to device details, setup tools, pairing options, and guest management tools for securely sharing the headset with others.
Meanwhile, the My Vision Pro app automatically installed on iPhones following the iOS 18.4 update back in April. iPad users can expect the same seamless integration with the rollout of iPadOS 26.1 either later this month or early November.
