Regular fans and visitors to the Texas Rangers’ Globe Life Field may be very familiar with the Major League Baseball action on the field, but there is a new performer in section 111 of the stands putting on a great show. Its name is ADAM.

Developed by Richtech Robotics, ADAM is an advanced robotic bartender that served around 500 drinks to thirsty fans during its debut week, which covered the HBCU Swingman Classic of July 12 and the 2024 MLB All-Star Game four days later.

The robot was even decked out in a Texas Rangers jersey and cap.

ADAM can assist in working through long lines and wait times, especially during peak demand at busy games, helping the human mixologists who are tending to the crowd.

This is ADAM’s first deployment at a major league stadium, and the robot’s 10th permanent installation so far. The tech behind ADAM has already been in service across the hospitality industry, at bars, restaurants, and other venues.

‘Audience interaction with our leading robot’

“ADAM has skyrocketed in popularity over the last few months after a successful debut of advanced AI features at CES 2024, and we’re excited to continue the momentum with the addition of ADAM to the famed Globe Life Field,” Matt Casella, president of Richtech Robotics, said in a news release.

“We’re constantly advancing ADAM’s technology to bring exceptional, engaging, and fluid interaction with customers and colleagues across industries, and we look forward to seeing a new audience interact with our leading robot.”

ADAM is not just a solution for pouring soda and beer, the robot can even use its highly dexterous arms, supported by AI and advanced sensors, to serve up classic cocktails such as a Whiskey Sour or a Lemon Drop.

In some situations, there is scope for autonomous machinery or self-serving units to be used to provide additional service to customers. But this example of ADAM being used at a kiosk next to human workers provides the best of both worlds for an enhanced overall experience.
