President Trump is hosting California Governor Gavin Newsom and Texas Governor Greg Abbott for separate meetings at the White House today.
The President’s meeting with Abbott is scheduled for 2:30 pm ET, and a meeting with Newsome is scheduled for 4:00 pm.
The Texas Governor is expected to discuss the Trump Administration’s ongoing border security and mass deportation efforts.
Abbott said on X this morning that he’s spoken with Border Czar Tom Homan and that “Today, and the coming days, should be great for Texas.”

Gavin Newsom’s visit comes after President Trump’s visit last month to California, where wildfires have killed dozens and burned thousands of homes.
Newsom is reportedly begging for more funds after Democrats’ mismanagement of California allowed wildfires to devastate Los Angeles County.

Gov. Gavin Newsom and President Donald Trump – who have publicly traded fire but who in the past have worked together – meet at the White House on Wednesday as the California governor pushes to secure more money following deadly wildfires last month in the Los Angeles area.
Newsom arrived in the nation’s capital on the eve of his visit to the White House as well as separate meetings with members of Congress.
The trip is the first by Newsom to Washington D.C. since Trump took over in the White House and is part of his efforts to obtain additional federal funding to aid in wildfire recovery from the horrific blazes that killed 29 people and destroyed over 12,000 homes and forced tens of thousands to evacuate.
As The Gateway Pundit reported, President Trump is also set to sign a new executive order to ban biological males from competing in female sports in schools and colleges.
