Fujifilm has officially unveiled the X-T30 III, the latest addition to its popular X Series lineup.
This model arrives with faster performance, improved autofocus, and a refreshed design that continues Fujifilm’s theme of giving its cameras a retro look.
Keeping the previous model’s size and weight of 378 g, the Fujifilm X-T30 III features a 26.1 megapixel X-Trans CMOS 4 sensor powered by the X-Processor 5.
It delivers image processing twice as fast as the old model. Autofocus also gets a serious upgrade, thanks to deep learning. It is now capable of spotting people, animals, cars, and even drones.
You get all those satisfying features and hands-on controls and a new Film Simulation dial that lets users switch between 20 film modes for that distinct Fujifilm colour look. The dial even includes three custom FS Recipes, allowing users to save their favourite combinations for quick access.
Video capabilities have also been upgraded. You can shoot in 6.2K/30P 10-bit, plus options for 4K/60P and 1080/240P slow motion. Fujifilm says the battery lasts for about 425 shots per charge. There’s also a sharp, tilting rear LCD, which is especially handy if you’re out travelling or capturing street scenes.
Beginners with appreciate the AUTO mode and a built-in flash. If you’re more into manual tweaking, all the controls are right there. And you can even send your shots straight to Fujifilm’s Instax Link printers for instant prints.
New lightweight kit lens
The camera launches alongside a brand-new kit lens, the FUJINON XC13-33mmF3.5-6.3 OIS. It weighs just 125 g, making it the brand’s tiniest, lightest zoom yet. Covering the equivalent of 20-50 mm range, it’s designed for everyday shooting, handling everything from landscapes to portraits. It offers 4-stop optical image stabilisation and a 20cm minimum focus distance for detailed, crisp close-ups.
Put the X-T30 III and XC13-33mm lens together, and you’ve got a compact yet capable pair that really brings in Fujifilm’s signature style.
