A police video has emerged showing a South Carolina Democrat running for governor getting arrested in his underwear and going on an insane tirade that must be seen to be believed.

As WCBD reported, 53-year-old William “Mullins” McLeod was arrested back on May 15 after he was found “yelling at the top of his lungs” while walking in downtown Charleston. At the time of his arrest, He was wearing only underwear and shoes.

The Charleston Police Department released video of the arrest on August 12 following a Freedom of Information request. The video, which is approximately one hour long, shows McLeod screaming at the top of his lungs, hurling the n-word, and even comparing himself to God and Superman at various points.

“I’m one of the most just humans to ever walk this soil,” he says at one point while sitting in the police car. “I’m Superman, godd*mn it.”

WCBD also revealed that McLeod, a married father of four, went on a profanity-ridden rant later in the video that includes threats toward current and former South Carolina GOP politicians.

One person mentioned was SC Attorney General Alan Wilson, who is also running for governor.

“I’m gonna kick your f**king teeth in!” McLeod yelled about Wilson.

He later refused to exit the police vehicle, refusing to exit the patrol vehicle when it arrived at the Al Cannon Detention Center, telling officers he would sleep there.

“I’m not getting out of this car,” he said. “It’s time to go to bed.”

WCBD obtained a preliminary incident report which stated that McLeod’s eyes were “extremely bloodshot and highly dilated.” As an officer noted, this suggested he was “under the influence of a stimulant narcotic.”

But it’s unclear whether McLeod was tested for any substances.

McLeod has been hit with misdemeanor charges for disorderly conduct according to the New York Post.

Christale Spain, the chair of the South Carolina Democratic Party, released a statement calling for McLeod to end his gubernatorial bid.

“After reviewing the transcript of the dash cam footage from his recent arrest, it is clear that Mr. McLeod is navigating profound challenges and should focus on his mental and emotional well-being instead of a campaign for governor,” Spain said.
