The race between Apple and Samsung is always a close one, but for the duration of Prime Day, Samsung has just nabbed the upper hand.
Amazon Prime Day has long been a great opportunity for folks to upgrade their existing handset for something a bit more modern, and while there are a few solid Apple deals currently available, the one that’s really caught my eye is for Samsung’s iPhone 16 competitor.
If you’re quick, you can buy a 512GB version of the Samsung Galaxy S25 for just £759, marking a slick 21% discount on the original £959 asking price. By comparison, opting for the same amount of storage on the iPhone 16 would set you back £1099, making Samsung’s offer far more appealing for those who love to store pictures and videos locally without relying on cloud storage.

This Galaxy S25 deal destroys the iPhone 16
The 512GB Samsung Galaxy S25 can now be bought for just £759 while its iPhone 16 counterpart will set you back £1099. On pure value for money, this deal simply cannot be beat.
With that amount of storage in the tank, it’s also very unlikely that you’ll ever be in a situation where you have to delete apps to make room for new ones, so if you’re sick of constantly managing your remaining storage levels then this is the deal to go for.
When it comes to getting a true flagship level experience amongst the Android crowd, the standard Galaxy S phones have long been a great option, even against stiff competition from the likes of Google and OnePlus.
While it’s true that Samsung’s phones haven’t massively changed over the last few generations, the software experience has seen significant improvements, particularly with the introduction of Galaxy AI.
Samsung’s take on artificial intelligence lets you do all sorts on the Galaxy S25 including Live Translation which allows you to have a real-time conversation with someone who speaks a different language. There are plenty of AI driven photo editing features too, including generative fill which can get rid of objects in a picture without the final product looking out of place.
All of this sits on top of some excellent cameras, not to mention Samsung’s very clean take on Android, which in itself offers up to seven years of updates from the time of launch, so it’s very unlikely that you’ll need to upgrade anytime soon after adding this handset to your collection.
Samsung phones have usually offered better value for money than their Apple counterparts but that’s just been taken to a whole new level thanks to this Prime Day offer. If you want to have tons of storage on your next Android phone then it’s hard to argue with the value here.
