Trump Aide And Lawyers Criminally Charged In Wisconsin Fake Elector Scheme

[ad_1]

A Trump aide and two of his lawyers have been criminally charged for their roles in the 2020 fake elector scheme in Wisconsin.

Read: The Republican Presumptive Nominee for President is A Convicted Felon

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported:

Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul has filed felony forgery charges against an aide and two attorneys who worked for former President Donald Trump in 2020 for their part in designing and executing a plan to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election by submitting false slates of electors for Trump.

Kaul filed the charges in Dane County Circuit Court against Kenneth Chesebro, a Wisconsin native and lead architect of the 2020 fake elector plan; former Dane County Judge Jim Troupis, who represented Trump in Wisconsin during the 2020 election; and Mike Roman, a former Trump aide who allegedly delivered Wisconsin’s slate of false elector paperwork to a Pennsylvania congressman’s staffer in order to get them to Vice President Mike Pence on Jan. 6, 2021.

Members of state fake elector plots have now been charged in Georgia, Nevada, Arizona, Wisconsin, and Michigan. Pennsylvania fake electors avoided charges by adding qualifying language to their forms that stated that suggested that they were only electors if the state’s election results were overturned.

There were seven swing states in the 2020 election, and five of them have filed criminal charges as participants in Trump’s plot.

It is impossible to know if these criminal charges will influence voters in those states. However, the national media tends to overlook the significance of these cases as they view presidential elections from a national perspective instead of what they really are: a series of 50 individual state elections.

Trump tried to cheat the voters in these states in 2020, and he is already planning on trying to do so again in 2024. The state-level cases only make it more difficult for Trump to shake the convicted felon label.

The bad news keeps coming for Trump as his alleged crimes of 2020 will not go away in states that will be critical to the 2024 outcome.

Destiny 2: This version is no longer available error explained and potential fixes

Destiny 2: This version is no longer available error explained and potential fixes

[ad_1]

Since most games of today are getting consistent updates, whether that’s to battle bugs, provide new content, or tweak current mechanics, you’ll have to keep an eye out for when they’re pushed live.

This is especially true with Destiny 2 since it is a live service title that receives constant attention from Bungie, alongside a plethora of expansions. With updates though come errors, and while a lot of these can be down to networking like Calabrese, there are others that need more of a deep dive.

The Destiny 2 This version is no longer available error is a prime example, and we’ll explain all below.

Destiny 2 This version is no longer available error explained

The “This version is no longer available” error, as you would expect, is popping up because you are not on the correct version of Destiny 2.

This occurs when Bungie has been working on the game and has either pushed a hotfix, a standard update, or when a new DLC has launched, and the version you have installed doesn’t match the new one that has been made live.

Destiny 2 This version is no longer available error fixes

Your first port of call then is to quit out of the game entirely and update Destiny 2. Hopefully, you will then be on the right version and will be good to go.

If you’re sitting in The Final Shape waiting room since the servers are down, you may have this error popping up. But, this is expected since maintenance is ongoing and the content hasn’t been made live.

If you believe that you have all of the latest updates installed already and are still getting the error, it might be that sadly the servers of the platform you’re playing on hasn’t pushed the ‘actual’ latest version, technically leaving you on an older build.

The ‘fix’ for this is to simply wait, potentially spamming the ‘check for updates’ button on your device to see if you can acquire the most up to date version of Destiny 2.

Sonos Era 300 is £110 off in rare discount

[ad_1]

The Sonos Era 300 is one of our favourite in-home wireless speakers and, at this price, there’s a great opportunity to save over £100 on its asking price.

Amazon is selling the Sonos Era 300 for just £339 right now, which is £110 off the asking price for this model, which provides immersive Dolby Atmos support.

Grab Sonos Era 300 now for just £339, save £110

Grab the highly-rated Sonos Era 300 on Amazon now for only £339. That’s a big saving on the prohibitive £449 asking price for this amazing Dolby Atmos-enabled speaker.

The cheapest price mentioned above is on the white hue, but if you prefer the black then it’ll only cost you about three pounds more. You can also get fast and free delivery if you’re an Amazon Prime member.

The Sonos Era 300, the successor to the much loved Sonos 5, arrived around a year ago and hasn’t seen many price cuts since, so we’re particularly enthused to see it on sale at Amazon right now.

Is the Sonos Era 300 worth buying?

Sonos’ wireless speaker reaches the Atmos-sphere

Pros

  • Expansive Dolby Atmos presentation
  • Clear, detailed, and balanced audio
  • Quick Tune Trueplay
  • Noteworthy looks

Cons

  • Doesn’t support Atmos playback from Tidal
  • Some will find it too expensive
  • Adapters are optional extras

Our reviewer loves this model and praised the expansive Dolby Atmos presentation thanks to the upfiring speakers, as well as the clear, detailed and balanced audio. It also offers the Quick Tune TruePlay which enables the speaker to quickly analyse the dimensions of the room to provide the best soundscape for the environment.

We gave it a 4.5 score from a possible five in a detailed test and loved how it could be used for individual music playback and as part of a Sonos home cinema system. It also adds Bluetooth, which is a welcome bonus, as well as the ability to cast tunes via standard Wi-Fi or Apple’s AirPlay technology.

It also has a super interesting, hourglass design that’s ideal for users who’re looking for a more unique-look inside the home.

Our reviewer concluded: “The Sonos Era 300 remains a very tempting speaker. It sounds very good, and with Atmos content it generates a big, expansive performance that convincingly escapes the speaker’s dimensions, but it is worth the cost?”

“For Sonos owners I think it is, and that it can pull duties as a surround speaker will appeal to those looking to build a Sonos-centric home theatre set-up. There’s no doubting the expense but when the Sonos Era 300 is good, it is very good.”

With the expense now seriously lessened for a limited time, what are you waiting for?

If you want to find out more, make sure you take a look at our comprehensive Sonos Era 300 review

Does the Google Pixel 8a support eSIM and dual-SIM?

Does the Google Pixel 8a support eSIM and dual-SIM?

[ad_1]

Does the Google Pixel 8a come with eSIM? A physical SIM card slot? How about dual-SIM functionality? Things are getting pretty confusing regarding these matters. Some phones have both, some have only one type of SIM, and the newer iPhones even lack a physical SIM card slot in the US. It makes sense to wonder what you’re dealing with when you’re planning to buy a new phone. We can help you clear any doubts about Google’s mid-range handset!

Google Pixel 8a
AA Editors Choice

Google Pixel 8a

Rich OLED display • Tons of Tensor G3-powered features • Pixel-pedigree cameras

Best possible Pixel experience for the price.

With the Pixel 8a, Google put all of its focus on value. A 6.1-inch display is backed by the Tensor G3 chip and decent specifications, a 64MP main camera is backed by most of Google’s latest AI-powered features, and a 7-year update promise will keep this moderately priced phone ticking for years to come.

QUICK ANSWER

Yes, the Google Pixel 8a supports eSIM. It also has dual-SIM capabilities. If you want to use two SIMs, you can opt between two configurations: one eSIM and one physical SIM, or two eSIM profiles.

JUMP TO KEY SECTIONS

Does the Google Pixel 8a have eSIM support?

For starters, the Pixel 8a comes with a single physical SIM card slot, so you can use it with traditional SIM cards. You can access it on the left side of the device, using the included SIM ejector tool.

Additionally, as any modern phone should, the Pixel 8a supports eSIM. This means you can take advantage of all the benefits of using eSIM technology, like easily switching carriers without waiting for SIM cards to ship. You can also easily test other networks to see if they have better coverage where you are.

Does the Google Pixel 8a have dual-SIM?

Edgar Cervantes / Android Authority

Yes, the Pixel 8a does offer dual-SIM support, so you can have two lines on it at once as long as your carrier supports it. You can set this up in two ways: using one physical SIM card and one eSIM, or running two eSIM profiles.

One of the other benefits of eSIM technology is that it has democratized dual-SIM functionality. Before the eSIM days, phones needed two physical SIM slots to have dual-SIM support. And these specialized hardware configurations were rare. Thanks to eSIM, dual-SIM phones are super common now, and our list of the best dual-SIM phones has gotten very healthy.

The Pixel 8a gets an extra dual-SIM feature

What makes the Pixel 8a special here is that it offers a very nifty feature we haven’t seen in Pixels before. The 8a is the first Pixel that lets you make calls using both SIMs at the same time. This means you can make or answer a call on one SIM, while you’re on a call on the other. The first call will be put on hold, but at least it will work. On other phones, the second call just wouldn’t go through.

To take advantage of this feature, both SIMs need to have mobile data enabled. Additionally, the second SIM needs automatic data switching and Wi-Fi calling turned on.

How to activate eSIM on the Google Pixel 8a

Are you ready to connect your Google Pixel 8a to your network? The process is pretty simple, but it can vary depending on your carrier and how you purchased the device.

If you got the Pixel 8a straight from your carrier, chances are the representative will set it all up for you. Either that or the carrier linked your IMEI to your eSIM, and you will get a notification to connect to the network during set-up.

You may have to do a bit more work if you bought the Pixel 8a unlocked. If the carrier provided you with a QR code, then you can just do everything from the settings.

How to activate an eSIM on the Pixel 8a:

  1. Make sure you’re connected to Wi-Fi.
  2. Launch the Settings app.
  3. Go into Network & internet.
  4. Tap on SIMs.
  5. Select Set up an eSIM.
  6. Select your carrier, or Use a different network.
  7. Scan the QR code provided by your carrier.
  8. Follow on-screen instructions to finish the process.

If you’re migrating your eSIM from another phone, turn off the older device before you try activating the eSIM on the Pixel 8a handset. While it’s a small step, many overlook it, and it may cause activation issues.

If you don’t have a QR code, you’ll have to contact your carrier to try to get one. Some carriers are less QR-friendly, though. They might make you call in to push the eSIM profile to your phone, instead of simply letting you do it yourself. You will get instructions from the rep on what to do, if this is the case. They will ask for your IMEI number, so learn how to find it here.

FAQs

No. The Google Pixel 8a has only one physical SIM card slot. The only way to have two lines is if at least one of them uses eSIM technology.

The Google Pixel 8a allows you to store many eSIM profiles, but only two of these can be active at once.

Sadly, you can’t transfer eSIM profiles between iPhones and Android devices. You’ll need to go through the usual process to activate a new eSIM profile on the Pixel 8a.

To delete an eSIM profile on your Google Pixel 8a, go to Settings > Network & internet > SIMs > Erase SIM.

The Joy-Boosting Products Our Editors Bought in May

With the Well+Good SHOP, our editors put their years of know-how to work in order to pick products (from skin care to self care and beyond) they’re betting you’ll love. While our editors independently select these products, making a purchase through our links may earn Well+Good a commission. Happy shopping! Explore the SHOP

As a professional shopping editor, I love May. Nearly everything is on sale; between end-of-season closeouts, Mother’s Day promos, and annual Memorial Day deals, it’s truly a fabulous month for buying stuff.

Turns out, May’s sales are so good, even our own editors couldn’t resist adding a lil’ treat or two to their checkouts. Just take a quick scroll through all the fun stuff we bought last month while indulging in a healthy dose of retail therapy of our own. From big-ticket items, like fancy espresso machines and luxurious mattresses, to smaller, more affordable delights (metal straws, a dreamy cream blush), our staffers were hard at work… stocking their shopping carts in May.

So without further ado, here’s everything we bought last month that made us *so* happy. Take our word for it—these products are worth adding to your own cart, long after May ends.

Francesca Krempa, Commerce Editor

Lawless Pinch My Cheeks Soft-Blur Cream Blush — $29.00

I rarely wear makeup in the summer because… who does. That said, I wanted something to give me that sunkissed look ahead of *actually* being sunkissed, and this blush does just that. I’ve tested a lot of beauty products as Commerce Editor here at W+G, and can say this is one of the lightest, most buildable blushes I’ve ever put on my cheekies. The formula is like buttah and blends perfectly into skin without weighing it down (perfect for the inevitable temps months around the corner.) Guess I might be a summer-makeup girlie this season after all.

Cotopaxi Tolima Overall Dress — $100.00

Much like makeup, I don’t wear pants and shorts once the temps start climbing. Enter, this fun overall frock from Cotopaxi, which I will be living in now through October. Hands down, this is my new favorite dress just from how simple it is to throw over anything and go out the door. (And seems to be everyone else’s favorite too, because it’s almost sold out on the website.)

KitchenAid KF8 Fully Automatic Espresso Machine — $2,000.00

I finally upgraded my hand-me-down drip coffee maker to an espresso machine worthy of its own cafe and I have zero regrets. KitchenAid’s KF8 Espresso Machine is like having a personal barista in your kitchen at all times to whip up coffee shop-worthy drinks in seconds… all with the press of a button. There are 40+ different drink options to explore and you can save your favorites—complete with personalized brew strength, size, and temperature—to your profile, making it extra easy to get your morning jolt of caffeine when you’re half awake. And maintenance (which is the reason I avoided getting a fancy schmancy machine for so long) is super simple, too. Both the bean hopper and water tank can be popped out for washing, and the milk frother is dishwasher-safe, making clean-up a breeze. Alexa, play Sabrina Carpenter…

Kaitlin Ahern, Editorial Director, Health

Blueland Hand Soap Starter Kit — $18.00

“I’ve been using Blueland’s refillable cleaning products for years, but I ordered a new round of refills this month, so that counts, right? I love Blueland’s products because they reduce the number of single-use plastic products in my house (my climate anxiety is real, and plastics are a major trigger). Plus, they work well, smell great, and I’m confident the ingredients are safe for my kiddos.”

VEHHE Metal Straws — $8.00

“I may be the only 30-something woman left on this planet who doesn’t own a Stanley cup, but I do drink a lotta water (and iced coffee), and I love using these colorful, reusable metal straws to slurp it all down. They come in a convenient lil’ baggie, so I can easily throw them in the car when I go on a coffee run, and they come with their own scrub brush, so they’re easy to clean, too”

Rachel Kraus, Senior Health + Fitness Writer

Beyond Yoga PowerBeyond Strive Midi Legging — $78.00

“Beyond Yoga’s new PowerBeyond line carries over the brand’s signature butteriness to performance fabric (think: compressive four-way stretch) for a new athletic set that makes me feel both cute and comfortable. The set is supportive without feeling tight or heavy, the holy grail of sports fabric that generally is a little heftier than other athletic sets. I particularly loved the Strive Cropped Tank. With a flattering racerback, the bottom of the tank hits me at my waist, but the built-in sports bra only comes to my ribcage, so the tank portion doesn’t cut in or ride up like some other tank sports bra hybrids that only have one layer of fabric.”

Osea Glow and Go Facial Set — $90.00

“I was so excited when I saw that one of my favorite eco-friendly beauty brands, Osea, came out with facial and body gift sets just in time for Mother’s Day! I have a terrible time remembering to get gifts for special occasions, but two of my best friends just became new moms this year, and I really wanted to celebrate them. Osea’s luxurious and planet-friendly cleansers, oils, and lotions seemed like the perfect way to treat these hard-working mamas.”

Maki Yazawa, Food Writer

Funky Mello Whipped Dips Bundle — $20.00

“On a trip to Austin, Texas, last year, I met the founders of Funky Mello and toured its facility. The brand is best known for its 100 percent plant-based marshmallow creme (made with aquafaba!) that comes in a variety of fun flavors like vanilla chai, hazelnut, and cookie. One bite and you’ll instantly be transported to your childhood. The best part? They’re now available in over 100 Whole Foods Market locations across the country, which is where I got mine. Fluffernutter sandwiches, anyone?”

Jenna Gibson, VP, Creative

TempurPedic Tempur-Adapt 13″ Mattress — $3,999.00

“Having multiple brands of mattresses in my house, this is my favorite. We are literally getting a TempurPedic for the primary bedroom after ordering another for another room and loving it. A very Goldilocks situation, and it’s helped my back.”

Jessica Willison Reyes, Business Manager, Commerce

Plant to Eat Subscription – $6/mo

“This app is a meal planner, recipe archive, and grocery list consolidator all in one. I love cooking, but after becoming a mom and going back to work, I’ve learned that some of my go-to meals just cannot happen between the end of the workday and the start of my bedtime routine. With this app, I can do all my planning prep in batches. I upload recipes to the app when I come across something that looks good. Then, when it’s time to plan meals for the week, I add recipes to the day I want to eat it. (You can even plan for leftovers!). On grocery days, I select the days I want to shop for and my grocery list is done. It’s saved me so much time, and I’m also eating the food I buy since I only buy what I have scheduled to make. It’s saved on grocery costs and food waste and my time planning meals. The app is easy to use and I’ve yet to come up with a missing feature. I love it!”

Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting 8% AHA Gel Exfoliant — $38.00

“My skin was looking dull and my pores were… poring. But since I am breastfeeding I wanted to avoid retinol. I remembered I had some of this Paula’s Choice AHA gel exfoliant. I tried it one night, and saw immediate changes to my skin’s texture and glow within only one application.”

Biden Rips Apart Trump’s Speech With A Reality Check For Each Felony Conviction

[ad_1]

The Biden campaign responded to Trump’s rambling lie-filled speech by offering one reality check for each of the ex-president’s felony convictions.

Read: The Republican Presumptive Nominee for President is A Convicted Felon

How Did Biden Respond To Trump’s Post-Conviction Press Conference?

Here is the Biden campaign response to Trump’s speech as provided to PoliticusUSA:

  1. “If they can do this to me they can do this to anyone.” (other people typically don’t allegedly pay hush money to a pornstar they had an affair with)
  2. “They want to stop you from having cars.” (uh, no)
  3. “I’m under a gag order, which nobody’s ever been under.” (other people have also been under gag orders while on trial)
  4. “Think of it, I’m the leading candidate. I’m leading Biden by a lot, and I’m leading the Republicans to the point where that’s over.” (the primary has been over for over two months)
  5. “This is done by Washington.” (the trial was in New York)
  6. “It was very unfair.” (it was not)
  7. “I wanted to testify… to this day I would have liked to have testified.” (He could have testified. He chose not to)
  8. “I’m out there and I don’t mind being out there.” (He very much does mind being out there.)
  9. “It was a rigged trial.” (It was not.)
  10. “As far as the trial itself, It was very unfair.” (It was not.)
  11. “Let me give you the good news.” (There was no good news.)
  12. “He wouldn’t allow us to have witnesses.” (Trump team’s had witnesses.)
  13. “The unselect committee of thugs.” (tbh fantastic fantasy football team name.)
  14. “By the way, and nothing ever happened. There was no anything.” (Do you understand this because we don’t.)
  15. “I don’t feel 77.” (He looks older)
  16. “So it’s not hush money, it’s a non disclosure agreement totally legal. Totally common. Everyone has it.” (So he admits it)
  17. “It should have been a non case and everybody said it was a non case.” (???)
  18. “You saw what happened to some of the witnesses that were on our side, they were literally crucified by this man who looks like an angel, but he’s really a devil. He looks so nice and soft.” (Woahhh)
  19. “Our elections are corrupt.” (No they aren’t.)
  20. “Languages… we haven’t even heard of.” (We have heard of these languages.)
  21. “Nobody knows where they get it [money].” (FEC reports)
  22. “I could go through the books of any business person in the city and I could find things that in theory I guess let’s indict him.” (No he couldn’t.)
  23. “Jonathan Turley, Andy McCarthy, Gregg Jarrett, you look at all of these people, Mark Levin, all very talented people.” (These are not talented people.)
  24. “I’m honored to be involved in it because somebody has to do it.” (you do not, under any circumstances, “gotta hand it to them”)
  25. “There was nothing wrong. These were standard. This was standard stuff, all standard stuff, everything involved with standard, there was no crime here.” (A jury of his peers unanimously disagrees)
  26. “Everybody says there’s no crime here.” (A jury of his peers unanimously disagrees)
  27. “I don’t want to have it backfire. I don’t know, I want to win this thing legitimately not because they were stupid and did things that they shouldn’t be doing.” (huh?)
  28. “We have people coming from corners of the globe. And many of them are not good people.” (On this corner of the globe, we do not understand this.)
  29. “Our kids can’t have a Little League game anymore.” (kids are having Little League games, we promise)
  30. “Crime is rampant in New York.” (Crime is down in NYC)
  31. “Like, it was a beautiful, sunny day and it was actually raining out.” (many days during Trump’s trial had nice weather.)
  32. “I’m supposed to go to jail for 187 years.” (actually not true at all)
  33. “Joe Biden, the worst president in the history of our country. He’s the worst president in the history of our country.” (This is, in fact, you.)
  34. “They have beautiful tents, they have propane stoves.” (Bass Pro Shop?)

Trump’s Speech Was Damage Control

There was an air of desperate damage control to Trump’s speech. For anyone who covered the trial, much of it was a repeat of lies that he had been telling outside of the courtroom for weeks during the trial. Legal experts quickly debunked the lies, but the political fallout was more severe.

CNN noted that Trump was not using his teleprompter and referred to the ex-president as ranting and disjointed.

When Trump is in this mental state that is when he starts panicking and making his biggest mistakes.

Trump is about to get even more reckless and dangerous, which could lead to a total implosion of the former president’s campaign.

Name for Meta’s more affordable VR headset leaked

[ad_1]

The name of Meta’s next – and rumoured to be more affordable – virtual reality Quest headset has seemingly been leaked.

Meta’s upcoming mixed reality headset will apparently be called the Quest 3S. The news comes via a Quest Store listing spotted by UploadVR, Meta lists the Quest 3S as a supported device. Since this device is not yet on the market, it seems likely that this will be the next headset released.

At this time of writing, the Quest 3S is listed alongside the existing headset models in the listing for a number of apps, including the Alo Moves XR app, as spotted by The Verge.

There are a number of other apps included, suggesting that this isn’t a one-off or a glitch, and that the upcoming headset will have widespread functionality.

What is Meta’s Quest 3S?

Following on from the Quest 3, which has drawn criticism for being the most expensive headset yet, the next headset will reportedly be a more affordable alternative. This name appears to underline this rumor, mimicking Apple’s tendency to name its smaller, cheaper versions of the previous name with a simple ‘S’ afterward.

During an internal presentation last year from Mark Rabkin, Meta’s vice president of VR, he mentioned that a cheaper mixed reality headset was coming up on the company’s product roadmap, codenamed Ventura. At the time, Rabkin stated that the goal was to “pack the biggest punch we can at the most attractive price point in the VR consumer market.”

Seeing as the Quest 3 came out in October, we could see a Quest 3S release window as early as this fall, or there could be a longer wait in store. Not many details are yet known about the headset aside from the tight-lipped comments from Rabkin and some unsubstantiated rumors. With the Quest 3 playing a big role in generating $1 billion in quarterly revenue for Apple, it seems unlikely that the company will quit while it’s ahead.

New leaks point towards big changes for 2024 foldables

New leaks point towards big changes for 2024 foldables

[ad_1]

OPINION: The foldable market is advancing at an increasingly rapid pace, and it looks like 2024 could be a particularly transformative year for some of the most popular foldable brands around – if leaks and rumours are to be believed, anyway.

The Motorola Razr’s big cover screen is about to get even bigger

Let’s start with the Motorola Razr 50 lineup, which is rumoured to appear as soon as sometime in June.

The Motorola Razr 40 Ultra was one of the absolute best clamshell foldables of last year, and my personal favourite. It fixed a lot of complaints I had about the form factor prior to its release, like having to unfold the phone to perform simple tasks not available on the narrow cover screens we were used to.

With the Razr’s 3.6-inch cover screen that allowed access to any Android app I had installed, that was no longer an issue.

However, it seems that this year’s Razer 50 Ultra is going to take that a step further if recent leaks and rumours are to be believed. It’s said that the top-end Razr for 2024 will sport an even larger 4-inch cover display, taking up practically the entire front panel.

This not only means that apps will be even more usable than they were on the Razr 40 Ultra, but, going by leaked renders, it also gives the Razr 50 Ultra an extremely premium look unmatched by any other foldable right now.

It should also have quite the hardware upgrade, with leaked specs including a double 50MP camera setup, up from the 12MP and 13MP combo from last year’s foldable, along with an improved IPX8 water resistance rating, Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 power and AI-powered photo and video editing tools to boot.

The regular Razr 50 should also get a huge upgrade to match its premium sibling, ditching the narrow strip display on its cover for the same 3.6-inch OLED cover screen as the Razr 40 Ultra. Combined with a vegan leather finish and new colour options, it should be a serious upgrade over the Razr 40 that might surpass anything else at the budget end of the foldable market.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 should look more refined

Motorola isn’t the only brand looking to refresh its foldable line for 2024, with Samsung’s big-screen Z Fold 6 also said to get some much-needed TLC. However, if you were hoping for a substantial redesign that’d bring its traditionally tall-and-narrow 6.2-inch cover screen down to something a little more manageable, you’ll be disappointed.

Instead, the cover screen is said to match its predecessor in terms of dimensions, though the Z Fold 6 will have much slimmer bezels and squared-off corners. That gives it a look not too dissimilar to the top-end Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, with some rumours claiming that it’ll also come equipped with the same titanium frame.

You can see it side-by-side with the older Galaxy Z Fold 5 in the below X leak:

It’s not a huge redesign, granted, but it’s one that makes the Z Fold 6 look a little more refined while also improving the (sometimes awkward) typing experience.

The rear of the phone is also said to get a refresh with a redesigned camera housing, seen below, though it could be a case of misdirection from Samsung as rumours suggest that the actual camera hardware will match that of the Z Fold 5.

Instead, it’s the Z Flip 6 that’s said to get some much-needed camera improvements this year, along with a faster Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and a larger battery, though don’t expect it to look any different to last year’s Z Flip 5

Again, this is something that we won’t have to wait too long to see in the flesh, with rumours pointing towards a reveal on 10 July 2024 in Paris, much earlier than previous entries in the Z Flip and Z Fold series.

The Google Pixel Fold 2 could fix everything

I’ve got to admit, I didn’t love the Google Pixel Fold when I reviewed it last year – and that was before I’d seen truly next-gen foldables like the OnePlus Open and Honor Magic V2 that make the Pixel Fold look practically ancient.

It was thick, heavy, had a relatively small cover screen, oddly thick bezels on the internal display and issues with app support that most other foldable manufacturers had already overcome. Considering the £1,749 price tag, I just couldn’t recommend it to consumers.

However, it looks like that could change with the Pixel Fold 2 – or Pixel 9 Fold, depending on who you ask – with leaks suggesting there could be quite a big redesign on the cards.

The initial leak was a doozy; a photo of the phone itself. It’s likely an early prototype than a finalised model given it leaked in early February, but it gives us a good look at the unfolded Pixel Fold 2.

Per the image, it looks like it has a taller, narrower cover screen, a redesigned camera housing and more. The source of the image, who spoke to Android Authority, also claimed that the metal frame felt more premium than the original Fold, and that the device felt much slimmer too.

That’s something we got confirmation on a little later, with more detailed Google Pixel Fold 2 renders from the ever-accurate OnLeaks and SmartPrix showcasing a device with a redesigned cover screen, slimmer bezels and what looks like an under-screen camera on the internal foldable display.

The leaker also suggests that the cover screen measures in at a larger 6.4 inches, up from 5.8 inches, and a 7.9-inch foldable screen, up from 7.6 inches. It’s also said that the Pixel Fold 2 measures in at 5.27mm when unfolded, compared to 5.8mm from the Fold, and a folded width of 10.54mm, down from 12.1mm.

The camera housing looks totally different from the rest of the Pixel lineup, and considering the regular Pixel 8 camera bar usually gets caught in my pocket as I take it out, I welcome the change with open arms.

That’s not all, folks

Of course, there are plenty of other foldable manufacturers including Honor, OnePlus, Oppo, Vivo, Xiaomi and Huawei, all of which are likely working on next-gen foldable hardware right now, so who knows what other innovations we’ll see from the foldable market as the rest of 2024 plays out. The future of foldables certainly looks bright, either way.

Release window, cast, and more

Release window, cast, and more

[ad_1]

Yellowstone fans have been a bit worried about the future of the series for some time. At the very least, you have been wondering when the second half of the last season will come out. After some rocky times, we now have more information about the Yellowstone season 5 part 2 release date, as well as other details.

When is Yellowstone season 5 part 2 coming out?

On May 20, 2024, Paramount Network announced that it has finally begun production of Yellowstone season 5 part 2, in Montana. It’s being produced in collaboration between MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios, and is programmed for a November 2024 release. That said, no information on an exact Yellowstone season 5 part 2 release date was given. We also aren’t sure how many episodes it will have. While the original plan was to release six episodes, the show’s creator, Taylor Sheridan, told The Hollywood Reporter,”If I think it takes 10 episodes to wrap it up, give me 10. It’ll be as long as it needs to be.”

While there are still some uncertainties, the confirmation that production has begun and a solid release window is reassuring, after the uncertainty revolving around the final part of the series. It was actually scheduled to launch in November 2023, so it was delayed a whole year. This was mainly due to the 2023 Hollywood actors’ and writers’ strike. There were also some time conflicts between Kevin Costner and the showrunners. With the delays, Costner decided to move on and work on Horizon: An American Saga. This makes it unclear whether he will return to play John Dutton, the show’s main character. We will probably find out soon enough, though.

As already mentioned in the intro, this is the final part of the series. The show will end with season 5 part 2. That said, we know Paramount Network is working on releasing spin-offs and additional content linked to the Yellowstone series. So far, Paramount is known to be working on a prequel and a sequel: “1944” and “2024.” Prequels “1883” and “1923” already exist, too.

What to expect from Yellowstone season 5 part 2

We actually know little to nothing about what to expect from Yellowstone season 5 part 2. It’s really anyone’s guess right now, and all we can do is touch on general assumptions.

For starters, we still don’t know if Kevin Costner will be coming back to play John Dutton III. In the case that he doesn’t, we can only assume one of two things will happen: either he is replaced by another actor, or some kind of sendoff will have to be improvised. This seems very difficult to do, though, giving this is the main character. At the same time, some believe the character wasn’t supposed to survive through the end of this season, anyway.

During part 1 we also saw Beth suggesting to John that they should take care of Jamie, for lack of better words. At the same time, Jamie and Sarah Atwood seem to be making their own plans. We need to see how this part of the story unfolds.

We also know this last season is meant to transition into the 2024 spin-off. We don’t know much about the storyline for that one, either, but rumors say the main character will likely be played by Matthew McConaughey.

The Yellowstone season 5 part 2 cast

Of course, we’re not sure if Kevin Costner is coming back, but we will add him to the list because that was the original plan. We will update this post if the situation changes. Let’s go over the main cast together to refresh your memory, as most characters stay the same.

  • Kevin Costner as John Dutton III, a cattle rancher turned Montana governor.
  • Luke Grimes as Kayce Dutton, John’s son and former Navy SEAL.
  • Kelsey Asbille as Monica Dutton, a Native American woman, married to Kayce Dutton.
  • Brecken Merrill as Tate Dutton, Kayce’s and Monica’s son.
  • Kelly Reilly as Beth Dutton, John’s only daughter and financier.
  • Wes Bentley as Jamie Dutton, John’s adopted son and lawyer.
  • Cole Hauser as Rip Wheeler, Yellowstone Ranch foreman.
  • Gil Birmingham as Thomas Rainwater, Broken Rock Indian Reservation chief.
  • Denim Richards as Colby Mayfield, a worker at Yellowstone Dutton Ranch.
  • Forrie J. Smith as Lloyd Pierce, another ranch hand.

Where to watch Yellowstone season 5 part 2

Like other seasons, we can expect Yellowstone season 5 part 2 to be available first on Paramount Network, which is available from many cable and online streaming services. These include Hulu, DirecTV Stream, Fubo TV, Sling TV, Vidgo, and others. Episodes will likely become available on Paramount Plus shortly after launch, and they will then be distributed to other services after.

FAQs

It is still unknown whether Kevin Costner will return to play John Dutton for Yellowstone season 5 part 2. Though Costner has hinted he wouldn’t be opposed to it, nothing has been confirmed, and production has already begun in Montana. It seems unlikely by now.

The exact details or date haven’t been revealed. All we know is that Yellowstone season 5 part 2 is scheduled for a November 2024 release window.

Originally, the plan was to have six episodes for Yellowstone season 5 part 2. That said, the creator has expressed he doesn’t mind extending that number if needed. Part 1 had eight episodes.

There isn’t an official trailer for Yellowstone season 5 part 2 as of the time of writing this post, but there is an older season 5 general trailer. It shows nothing regarding part 2, though.

Yellowstone season 5 part 2 will be filmed in Montana. Production has begun.
